LPS x Ormside Projects is a collaboratively curated evening that gathers performance ensembles, playwrights, musicians and DJs across our two performance spaces. Part one at London Performance Studios invites:
99 Plays by Alan Fielden with Clara Potter-Sweet, Nat Norland, and Jemima Yong
From April 8th, 2024, Alan Fielden wrote one play a day for 99 days, a decade after first undertaking the project in 2014. Written amidst global upheaval and early parenthood, the plays are by turns sleep-deprived, delirious, joyous, and formally experimental—often blurring into other literary forms. Joined by some of the most exciting theatre makers working today, Fielden will read from this collection, revisiting both recent and past works.
orchestra379 by aloisius
Led by aloisius, founder of the gesamtkunstwerk ‘life is beautiful’, orchestra379 is an ongoing improvisation project that brings together a rotating lineup of artists from diverse backgrounds for one-off, spontaneous performances. This iteration will include: aloisius on trumpet & cello, Jasper Maurice on guitar & vocals, Shauwdii on vocals/ sp404, Kenichi Iwasa playing various horns & MPC, Rune Kielsgaard (of 20_14) on drums/ percussion, Bianca Scout on keyboard & vocals & Lily Junie on the flute.
friend city by George Lynch, Joe Davies, Tom Hardwick-Allan, Alex McKenzie, Hannah Taverner
George Lynch and Hannah Taverner perform within a cityscape created by Joe Davies using DIY projectors and found metal, with live music by Tom Hardwick-Allan and Alex McKenzie. This performance is a fan-fiction spin-off of 12 April, a play set in a city where no one lives first staged at CCA Glasgow in November 2024 and set to return to London in late 2025.
Part two will cross over into Ormside Projects, with further performances and DJs.
