Very excited to be helping out with this screening, Thursday 27th June at ICA London.

I’ll be co-directing and performing a short polyphonic recital of Terayama’s poetry, along with some brilliant artists.

Discovering Japanese artist Shuji Terayama changed my life. His films are hallucinatory, insane, and for me emancipatory. In 2017 I went to his museum, in Aomori, Japan. Closest thing to a pilgrimage I’ve ever done.
