The Darkroom combines a poetic monologue, written by Alan Fielden, with live photographic development. Inspired by the photograms etched onto the streets after the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the text explores the act of photography as an event which both kills the live moment, yet preserves it.
